How to reconstitute Tesamorelin

  1. Swab the rubber stopper of the Tesamorelin vial and the sterile water for injection vial with an alcohol wipe.
  2. Draw 0.5 ml of sterile water for injection into a syringe.
  3. Inject it slowly down the inside wall of the Tesamorelin vial, not directly onto the powder.
  4. Swirl gently until the powder fully dissolves. Do not shake. Shaking can damage the peptide.
  5. Use EGRIFTA SV immediately after reconstitution.

Tesamorelin dosing

The original FDA-approved dose is 2 mg by subcutaneous injection once daily. A later single-vial formulation (Egrifta SV) uses 1.4 mg daily with simpler preparation, and a newer weekly-reconstitution formulation has also been approved to reduce daily burden. Storing reconstituted Tesamorelin

Use EGRIFTA SV immediately after reconstitution. Do not refrigerate and do not freeze the mixed solution, and discard any unused portion. This is the opposite of ordinary peptide handling. Store unreconstituted vials at 20 to 25 degrees C in the original carton, protected from light. EGRIFTA WR differs again: it is stored reconstituted at 20 to 25 degrees C and discarded 7 days after mixing.
