How to reconstitute Sermorelin
- Swab the rubber stopper of the Sermorelin vial and the 0.9% sodium chloride injection vial with an alcohol wipe.
- Draw 2 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride injection into a syringe.
- Inject it slowly down the inside wall of the Sermorelin vial, not directly onto the powder.
- Swirl gently until the powder fully dissolves. Do not shake. Shaking can damage the peptide.
- Keep unreconstituted vials refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C.
Sermorelin concentration by water volume
Sermorelin is commonly supplied in 0.5 mg vials. The concentration depends only on how much bacteriostatic water you add. More water lowers the concentration and makes small doses easier to measure.

Storing reconstituted Sermorelin
Keep unreconstituted vials refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C. The former label specified 2 ml of Sodium Chloride Injection USP supplied in the kit, not bacteriostatic water, giving a solution at pH 5.0 to 5.5. Discard if cloudy or if particulates appear. The original label did not publish an extended in-use window.
The labelled dose was 0.2 to 0.3 mcg/kg once daily at bedtime, roughly 15 to 20 mcg for a 70 kg adult. Compounding pharmacies today market 200 to 500 mcg per dose, more than ten times the labelled range, with no label support. Geref was withdrawn from the US market in 2008, so no current FDA label governs sermorelin and vial size, diluent, and concentration vary by pharmacy.

Sermorelin reconstitution FAQ
Draw 2 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride injection into a syringe, inject it slowly down the inside wall of the Sermorelin vial, and swirl gently until the powder dissolves. Do not shake. The concentration is the vial size in mg times 1,000, divided by the millilitres you added.
