How to reconstitute Gonadorelin

1. Swab the rubber stopper of the Gonadorelin vial and the supplied diluent (2% benzyl alcohol in sterile water) vial with an alcohol wipe.
2. Draw 1 ml of supplied diluent (2% benzyl alcohol in sterile water) into a syringe.
3. Inject it slowly down the inside wall of the Gonadorelin vial, not directly onto the powder.
4. Swirl gently until the powder fully dissolves. Do not shake. Shaking can damage the peptide.
5. Reconstitute immediately before use, store at room temperature, and use within 1 day.

Gonadorelin concentration by water volume

Gonadorelin is commonly supplied in 0.1 mg vials. The concentration depends only on how much bacteriostatic water you add. More water lowers the concentration and makes small doses easier to measure.

Storing reconstituted Gonadorelin

Reconstitute immediately before use, store at room temperature, and use within 1 day. Discard any unused portion. This is not a vial you mix and keep for weeks. The label states no light-protection requirement.

Factrel was FDA-approved for diagnostic testing of pituitary gonadotroph function at 100 mcg as a single subcutaneous or intravenous dose, and has since been withdrawn from the US market, so no current active human labelling exists. Reconstitution volume was strength-specific: 1.0 ml for the 100 mcg vial, 2.0 ml for the 500 mcg vial. The supplied diluent was 2% benzyl alcohol in sterile water, not plain bacteriostatic water. Pulsatile GnRH therapy used a different regimen entirely, 5 to 20 mcg per pulse intravenously every 90 minutes. Compounded gonadorelin sold today in 2 mg or 10 mg vials is not the approved product and its dosing has no label behind it.
