How to reconstitute Cagrilintide
- Swab the rubber stopper of the Cagrilintide vial and the bacteriostatic water vial with an alcohol wipe.
- Draw 2 ml of bacteriostatic water into a syringe.
- Inject it slowly down the inside wall of the Cagrilintide vial, not directly onto the powder.
- Swirl gently until the powder fully dissolves. Do not shake. Shaking can damage the peptide.

Cagrilintide dosing
Cagrilintide is not an approved standalone product, so there is no official dose. Trials used once-weekly subcutaneous injection with gradual escalation to 2.4 mg, most prominently alongside semaglutide 2.4 mg in the CagriSema studies. Storing reconstituted Cagrilintide

Not approved as monotherapy. Doses are the phase 2 arms (Lau et al., Lancet 2021), escalated every 2 weeks for the three highest. Cagrilintide is an amylin analogue rather than an incretin, and most trial work studies it combined with semaglutide as CagriSema, where the pairing rather than the solo dose is what was tested.

Cagrilintide reconstitution FAQ
Draw 2 ml of bacteriostatic water into a syringe, inject it slowly down the inside wall of the Cagrilintide vial, and swirl gently until the powder dissolves. Do not shake. The concentration is the vial size in mg times 1,000, divided by the millilitres you added.
